Carina offers a specialised investment service that is confined to long term strategic asset allocation to approved investors. Carina does not provide personalised advice to retail clients. All material on this website is for informational purposes only and is not a solicitation of any offer to buy or sell any financial instrument or to participate in any trading strategy. The Principal and owner of Carina and its parent company Carina Capital Limited, Paul Robin Richardson CFA, is registered on the New Zealand Financial Services Providers Register FSP no. 113965 to provide financial adviser and planning services to wholesale clients only, as defined under the Financial Advisers Act 2008 and the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 (‘The Act’). From 2011 to 15 March 2021 Paul Richardson was an Authorised Financial Adviser (AFA), authorised by the New Zealand Financial Markets Authority (FMA). From 15 March 2021 financial advisers giving advice to wholesale clients as defined by the Act are not required to be registered. Carina is committed to safeguarding the personal information that we receive. Carina will collect, hold, use and disclose personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the Australian Privacy Principles (“APPs”) and the Privacy Act 1988 (Australia). Carina may collect personal information for the purpose of providing financial products or services from the client (including their staff and representatives). This information includes, but is not limited to, name, date of birth, contact details, gender, Tax File Number, country of residence, investment information and bank account information. This information is collected to facilitate the provision of a service or product by Carina and to comply with local and international laws, for example anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing laws. We collect this information directly from the client (or their staff and representatives) and not from third parties. Carina may also collect personal information from people we do business with in order to fulfil the relevant business purpose. This will usually happen when we collect the name and business contact details of a person who is an adviser, supplier or other business contact. We collect this information to facilitate the relevant business purpose. Carina may also collect personal information from people who send us correspondence. Information collected includes name and contact details. We collect this information to deal with correspondence. We collect this information directly from the relevant individuals and not from third parties.

We will not collect information of a sensitive or personal nature that is not required for Carina to provide a financial service (for example information on health, race, religion etc). We will take reasonable steps to ensure that any identifiable personal information that we have collected is stored securely. The measures utilised include password protection to our systems, restricting access to our systems and education of staff.
